Longbon Resort Beitou Taipei Taiwan

It is in the center of the New Beitou hot-spring area but very quiet. The room is big and comfortable. The hot-spring water is available in the bath tube

Residing at the foot of Yang Ming Mountain and presented with magnificent natural views of the Guandu Plain, and surveying Dansuie River and Guanyin Mountains, with Beitou River and Huang-kang River passing wriggly in its left and right respectively. The unique white sulfur hot spring was formed naturally from Sulfur Valley. With such distinct feature, the property had once been chosen by the imperial order to be an exclusive private guest house for Government House during the Japanese Colonial Period. The Overseas Chinese Affairs Commission later on made the resort into an elite venue that mainly received foreign guests and oversea compatriots returning to Taiwan. The resort boasts some of the finest accommodations within the area as well as top quality services. Pamper yourself in the “Beauty Hot Spring” and let loose of all your . worries in the one and only Longbon Resort Beitou. The hotel provides shuttle bus services from Beitou MRT station (on the MRT Danshui line) to the hotel. Please contact the hotel in advance for the shuttle bus services.

Tamsui Fisherman's Wharf 淡水漁人碼頭 Taipei Taiwan

Tamsui Fisherman's Wharf (Chinese: 淡水漁人碼頭) is a very scenic spot at the western tip of Tamsui District, New Taipei City, Taiwan. Its predecessor was the "Tamsui Second Fishing Port" on the right bank of the Tamsui river estuary, an important fishing harbor in the early history of north Taiwan.

The Tamsui Fisherman's Wharf is well known by its beautiful sunset and fresh seafood. While having sightseeing and leisure facilities, it still holds its functionality as a harbor for fishing boats.

Maid Cafe at Xinmending Taipei Taiwan

And you thought maid cafes only existed in Japan. Fret not, Taiwan is ready to copy Japanese culture at the click of a button, so to speak!

We stumbled upon this Taiwanese maid cafe while strolling Taipei, . They cater to the Japanese otaku culture that is (news to me) also popular in Taiwan. There were many otakus present, and even a pair Japanese otakuettes (I just made that word up) sitting in the cafe with their whisperings about this and that cosplay magazine, even complete with their awesome teeth.

There aren't that many pictures of the maid cafe because after we took this one, the lovely maids told us in their soft, high-pitched, overly-cutesy voice that pictures aren't allowed using a cutesy language to whose words I did not pay much attention (I think it was Mandarin).

Lavazza Coffee Taipei Taiwan

A very good cafe and good coffee . My Husband love the coffee they choose and as usual i tried the Iced Drop coffee.
Ate fruit waffles

A quiet and peaceful Cafe just Outside Longbon Resort at Beitou Station Taipei

Food wise the waffle is a must.

Bed theme Cafe in Taipei Taiwan

How could we possibly have missed those crazy themed restaurants while in Taipei?
It can be quite pricy to eat in the restaurant

George and Dragon Cafe (Taman Tasek) Johor Bahru Malaysia

George and Dragon Restaurant was established in JB at 2002. The restaurant offers the European food (mainly authentic British cuisine): steaks, lamb, pizza, pasta, homemade desserts and good selection of drinks: tea, coffee, beer, wine. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with exposed brick arches and wrought iron work which are complimented by medieval tapestries, solid wooden trestle tables and antiques.

We had the Seafood Set Combo (RM68.8), Chicken Wings (RM 18.8) and Scones (RM6). Main dishes are not so tasty and overpriced, but scones are pretty nice. We were pleasantly surprised by the high class service and romantic interior. The interesting fact is that tables in this cafe are made of Singer sewing machines.

Re Della @ Permas Jaya Johor Bahru Malaysia 甲虫餐厅

Re Della @ Permas Jaya has a nicely decorated setup, with its warm ambience and elaborate lightings. My first impression, this would definitely be a good place to have a romantic night out with your significant other
Crema di funghi aka mushroom soup. I still like mine from Gianni's, and so far none has succeed in surpassing it. Well, it still beats those (generic) cream of mushroom soup I get elsewhere
like this place, and I certainly mean it - the ambience with the food. There's not much to complain

Ireland's Potato at Bugis Plus Mall Singapore

Already popular in Taiwan, Malaysia, Thailand, Myanmar, now Ireland's Potato makes its very first appearance in Singapore! Located at Bugis + Shopping Mall, the franchise decked with a western feel, coupled with friendly service staffs and mouth-watering potato goodies Ireland's Potato is definitely a place you simply have to visit!

國立國父紀念館Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall (Taipei) Taiwan

It is a memorial to the Republic of China's National Father, Dr. Sun Yat-sen, and was completed on 1972. Hello Kitty Cafe Taipei Taiwan

I thought it would be like any theme restaurant but it turned out to be much more than that. Yes, you need to make reservations beforehand and there is a queue before it even opens and the staff will ask that you leave before the second lunch seating but it is such a happy pink place. Everything is pretty including the toilet!

order the chocolate mousse cake apart from the lunch set. It was delicious.

We all had a great time at the restaurant and left full, satisfied both with the food and the kitschy cute decor. It was also value for money!

Taipei’s auto-themed P.S. Bu Bu Restaurant lets you dine inside vintage cars Taiwan

Drive throughs are extremely popular with people who just don’t have the time to sit down for a meal. Even though the concept evolved out of the need to save time during a busy schedule rather than the enjoyment it could provide, the idea has been adopted by a Taiwanese restaurant albeit in a slightly altered manner. The P.S. Bu Bu Restaurant came into existence way back in 1999 when a couple of local classic car fanatics named Sean and Ponny decided to combine their love of vintage vehicles and food to create an automotive-themed eatery with a difference

Di Re Gu (Geothermal Valley), Taipei Taiwan

Hiking farther from the Xinbeitou MRT Station, one won’t be able to resist the steam coming from the Geothermal Valley, which is also known as Hell Valley. In the old days, the valley was used to boil eggs since the temperature can go as high as one hundred degrees Celsius. Now, it serves as a must-see for tourists visiting XinBeitou. It is said that “curiosity killed the cat”, so don’t give in to your curiosity and try to dip yourself in the water here for you’ll definitely end up in hell!

Chicken Rice Ball at Malacca Malaysia

Visitors to the historic city of Malacca often hear about the great food that can be found there. There are the authentic Nyonya food restaurants in the city, spicy Portuguese food at Portuguese settlements and grilled seafood at Umbai, but perhaps no dish is better known in Malacca than chicken rice balls
The people in Malacca have an interesting way of serving simple Hainanese chicken rice. Instead of serving the rice in a bowl, the chicken rice is shaped into ping pong sized balls and served with chicken and the usual condiments. The rice is usually made stickier so that it can hold its shape. Everything is eaten exactly the same way, with a piece of the chicken, the chilli sauce and cucumber placed on a ball of rice. This way, one can enjoy one harmonious burst of flavour, with the chicken, rice and chilli sauce all blending togethe

Olive Vine at Marina Square Singapore

At somewhere very isolated in the mall, which is the level B1, we found an affordable one - Olive Vine
It's been a long time since I last came to Marina Square, and I was recommended to this eatery by a close friend.
Looking at the menu, there are a variety of rice and pasta dishes that feature mainly fish, chicken or pork. First of all, we had the olive rice and fish with mushroom sauce. The rice is infused with garlicky aroma and the mushroom sauce complemented the fish very well. Very tasty and one of my recommended dishes.
Next, I had the chicken steak in bbq sauce with rice. The chicken is well marinated but the bbq sauce is a tad sweet, lacking the smokey and tangy flavor that I prefer

Bangkok Village at Johor Bahru Taman Desa Tebrau 泰美味花園 Malaysia

I like Bangkok Village because of its ambiance and the good food. I also like Bangkok Village's easy accessibility via the EDL and ample fuss free, free parking.

Bangkok Village is set in a tropical garden with fish ponds, water features, mangrove and hanging vines
It's like an idyllic oasis just off the busy Kota Tinggi highway.

if you are looking for Thai cuisine, and want to enjoy it in a garden ambiance, Bangkok Village is the best option that I know of in JB.

Bangkok Village is very accessible from downtown JB or JB Immigration via the EDL or Eastern Dispersal Link. It's less than 30 minutes of very leisurely driving once you clear JB Immigration. Parking is also easy - ample lots, free of charge with traffic marshals to guide you.

Hougang Wanton Mee Singapore

The name makes it sound like the stall is at Hougang but it is right in the Hougang hawker centre! Seriously, the noodles looked nothing special with the first look, you can just order from any other wanton stall and I bet you from the appearance, difficult to convince why there is always a long queue waiting patiently for the Wanton mee until you have a taste of the noodles.

IT Roo Cafe Johor Bahru Malaysia

IT Roo Cafe, housed in a really quaint district in JB, is famous for its chicken chop. That's what we ordered when we went there. We ordered a grill and a fried chicken chop each, to see which tastes better. I really liked the batter that the fried chicken chop was coated in. It was quite delicious
The root beer float was pretty affordable and good too! The restaurant interiors are interesting as well with old photographs of JB on the wall and some vintage-looking stuff
