Canton I City Square Johor Bahru

It just took a single gastronomical trip down to Canton-i for me to get hooked up and begging for seconds. The reason is none other than a table filled up with tantalizing wanton noodles, century egg porridge and a few baskets of steamed buns and dim sum. That is why on a recent getaway to Johor Bahru, we decided to bring along a few friends for some good and affordable dim sum. I mean, who doesn't adore cheap and awesome dim-sum?

Cestino Bakery and Bistro

Cestino is just a short walk through the AEON Jusco Mall covered car park or if you drive, just a 2 minute swing around to the Tebrau City Residences apartment blocks adjacent to the Mall.

Cestino is a good place to chill as it is comfortable, has a good range of coffees and other hot and cold drinks, lots of cakes and desserts as well as cafe dishes like fish and chips. There is free wifi and ample free parking right at Cestino's door step.

O Briens Sandwich Bar Taman Molek Johor Bahru

O'Briens is a sandwich chain founded in Dublin, Ireland, in 1988 and now has outlets around the world. O'Briens serves made to order fresh sandwiches, sort of like the sandwich version of Subway.

O'Briens arrived in Johor Bahru in Dec 2013.

O'Briens pride itself on using premium natural ingredients free of preservatives and added sugar.
I am not a sandwich person but I did enjoy this foot long sandwich with a bit of everything tucked between slices of toasted bread. There were chicken, cheddar, coleslaw, tomato, and mixed leaves. The ingredients though ordinary were indeed fresh and juicy.
