If you are mulling over where else to “makan” in Johor Bahru, Pontain Wanton Mee is an option you can consider.
Originating from Pontian (obviously!), this chain of Wanton Mee restaurant offers hand made noodles with a variety of sauces (Black, Chilli, Tomato (original) and mixed), served with Char Siew meat, vegetables and both fried and steamed wanton. The trade-mark is the noodles – they are “Q-Q” and as what the chain claims – will not soften even for takeaways. The chain also claims that no preservatives are added to the food.
